This has been what I've been saying for the last uhhh year. Only until Sony's hard core fanbase runs out at 600 will we see the true publics reaction to the consoles price. The 360 drop will be after Halo 3 I believe. The PS3 at that time will be no threat and they want to capitalize on the Halo 3 demand at 400.
Now that's pushing it for Microsoft to keep the Premium at 400 that late. It all depends on whether they want to make a lot of profit than make a huge price drop, or ma...
The 100 price tag is outrageous but I don't think they'd be foolish enough to release one that pricey. Although business wise people with HDTV's would mostly buy into that price. But the inbetweens wouldn't. The balance has to be found somewhere lower than 100.
Also I can't believe PS3 didn't come with component. Your gonna have to buy a 30-40 dollar cable with their sku for HD.

Wow this will probably be true worldwide but anyways if you look in the back of the PS3 your gonna have to buy a Sony specific component cable. The HDMI can be from anything though.

And like that really matters, PS3 has online so you can download anything onto your PS3 HDD. In other words no matter what their using it's gonna be the easiest Console/PC to hack ever.
If MS bought Ubisoft I would be incredibly happy. Because their games would be exclusive making them better games for the system.
